The American Orff-Schulwerk Association is a professional organization of educators dedicated to a creative approach to music and movement. Its mission is to support the professional development of its members while inspiring and advocating for the creative potential of all learners.
Local music teachers were invited to attend these workshops under the guidance of Renaissance Academy Elementary Music Teacher Eileen Keller. Through the five workshops held during the 2024-2025 school year, the Orff Association has provided educators with valuable tools and techniques for enhancing music instruction and encouraging a dynamic learning environment.
Music Teacher Eileen Keller led a workshop called "Folk Dancing with a Twist," where she taught fellow educators and emphasized the importance of blending traditional and contemporary music and dance. Her workshop demonstrated how these elements come together to create an engaging and impactful learning experience that fosters creativity, cultural appreciation, and student connection.
Thank you to the dedicated music educators who participated in these workshops, and for your generous donations in support of the Renaissance Academy Elementary Music program!
