New From The Food Service Department:

Thanks to advocacy and prioritization of school meals, school breakfast will continue to be provided for free throughout the 2023-24 school year. Additionally, students whose families qualify for a reduced-price lunch will now receive a free lunch for the 2023-2024 school year.

• Breakfast: Kindergarten through 12th grade students will recieve free breakfast.
• Lunch:  All kindergarten through 12th grade students who are approved for reduced-price meals will receive free lunch.

USDA Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder

USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed - whether during summer break or unexpected closures during the school year. Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost. Families can use this tool to find directions to nearby meal sites, as well as their hours of operation and contact information.The Summer Meals Site Finder has officially closed for the season now that schools are back in session. Check back in early May 2024 when the Site Finder will go live again for the 2024 summer period.

Food Service Payment

If you are paying by check, please make it payable to Renaissance Academy and specify the student for whom it applies.

More conveniently, you can pay online! Use Skyward Family Access to designate a credit card or bank account for use in paying school fees or funding your student's lunch account.

Please follow these steps:

• Chose ONE child in the top task bar even if you have multiple children
• Click on the tile "Fee Payments"
• On the Upper Right corner, click "make a payment".
• This will take you to a NEW screen where you will set up a payment account. "Skyward Food And Fees"
• Here you will see both food service fees as well as general school fees that have been posted to your family’s account.
• From this page, you will be able to pay for lunch account balances, pre-load lunch accounts and pay for general school fees.
• You will be able to make payments for one or multiple children from this screen.
• You will be required to add a Credit Card before checking out.
• Once set up, this same feature can be accessed using the Mobile App.
