This year, the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools recognized Renaissance Academy’s CEO, Dr. Gina Guarino Buli, for her outstanding contributions to the Aspiring Leaders Mentoring Program. She was also invited to share her expertise on the panel How to Start a Charter School, lending her many years of experience as a leader of a top-ranking charter school.
Dr. Guarino Buli has served as CEO of Renaissance Academy for 15 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge from classroom and school leadership. Her participation in the How to Start a Charter School panel highlighted her deep understanding of educational leadership as she guided guests on best practices, challenges, and the rewards of building a successful charter school in the Commonwealth.
In addition to her work on the panel, Dr. Guarino Buli is a passionate advocate for school choice. She has actively promoted this cause by inviting political leaders to visit Renaissance Academy, offering them a first-hand experience of the unique charter school culture. Dr. Guarino Buli encourages open dialogue to discuss the importance of charter schools, provides professional resources on charter schools for the public to access, and maintains an open-door policy for families seeking more information about school choice or for those already committed to giving their children a say in their education. She continues to emphasize the importance of providing families with educational choices.
