As the Renaissance Academy enrollment lottery for the 2024-2025 school year concludes, we're excited to share the perspectives of our current families. Their stories highlight the unique experiences and vibrant learning environment that defines Renaissance Academy.

Why Renaissance Academy?

Both Brittany and Shakeya learned about Renaissance Academy through recommendations from friends and family. They were impressed by the friendly atmosphere, strong curriculum, and commitment to student support. The emphasis on smaller class sizes, extracurricular activities, and fostering independence particularly resonated with Brittany, while Shakeya valued the consistency and sense of community Renaissance Academy offers. 

 

Communication and Academic Strengths:

Both parents appreciate the open communication between the school and families. Teachers regularly inform them about events, projects, and any learning challenges their children face. They also acknowledge the school's strong academic programs. Highlighting personalized attention, focus on critical thinking, and support for individual needs. 

 

Building a Strong Community:

Renaissance Academy fosters a sense of community through various initiatives. Brittany appreciates then the inclusion of diverse cultures and holidays in the curriculum,  while Shakeya commends the family-oriented environment fostered through numerous events and community involvement. 

 

Parental Involvement and Addressing Individual Needs:

Both parents feel actively involved in their children's education. Brittany Utilizes the school app to monitor grades and assignments, while Shakeya maintains open communication with teachers. Renaissance Academy demonstrates a commitment to addressing individual needs by providing support through various means, as both parents have experienced.

 

Discipline and the Future:

While their perspectives differ slightly, both parents believe the school's approach to discipline is fair and effective. Looking ahead, the school expresses its excitement for fostering an environment where every student thrives, acknowledging the valuable contribution of parents in shaping a diverse and inclusive community.
