We're all asking the same question at Renaissance: What's so cool about manufacturing?
Enter a squad of mighty middle school Knights – Samuel Akinfenwa, Alexander Castellanos, William Grosick, Molly Myers, Ved Pakala, Samantha Roulstone, Danish Veeramachaneni, Christian Wenger – who accepted the challenge to explore this question.
This contest, born from the minds at the Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC) in Allentown, PA, ignites an annual video contest known as 'What’s So Cool About Manufacturing.' This exciting competition pairs Pennsylvania students with local manufacturing companies, tasking them with crafting captivating visual content that delves into the industry's fascinating world.
The goal? Showcasing the opportunities and career paths awaiting exploration in the manufacturing industry.
Renaissance Knights were partnered with the United Safety and Survivability Corporation located in Exton, PA. Students gained firsthand experience in the planning, production, and distribution of equipment developed in-house. While the partnership was chosen for the students, it was a perfect match, leaving our students buzzing with excitement and ready to kick off their project.
Judges in each regional contest bestow awards, and each contest features an online vote for its Viewer's Choice Award. Voting for Renaissance Academy students opens on March 20, 2024, and closes on March 21, 2024. Keep your eyes open for the grand reveal of the students' incredible content.
