Finding a Professional (therapist, counselor, mobile services, etc.)
When collaborating with families, we are often asked about the process of how to find mental health services in the community. Below are some tips:
We recommend talking to your pediatrician to rule out any health or medical concerns. They can also provide any recommendations for services they may have.
Take a look at the website PsychologyToday. You can search for a provider and filter it using your insurance company to see who is in-network. This is particularly helpful as you can see their preferences and their treatment modality.
Reach out to your insurance company and request a list of in-network local providers.
